  Pros

  Scrolling newsbar is the best of its kind - not even a close competitor, and I would know since I have tried every Windows product claiming to do scrolling RSS

  Cons

  No longer being developed. There are a handful of minor features I would like to see added (click to fast forward to next feed, for example). But this is a minor complaint .. it works well, been using it for 5 years.

  Summary

  I use FeedReader for capturing feeds that I intend to digest later, but for immediate feedreading (current events, news, once-a-day) I use this excellent piece of code. If I was rich, I would buy the source code since its clear this guy/gal knew what the heck they were doing!

  Pros

  It has all the features I could ever ask from a desktop feed reader!! (Please read the editor's review of this software) It is only natural for a naive user to get confused with all the available options. But then you can always be satisfied with the basic options and prefer to keep away from the so called complicated ones. I would say that this is the most complete feed reader I have ever used and it is a freeware! It uses low system resources and doesn't need .NET or other supporting platforms.
