NetPinger is utility for monitoring hosts or network connections availability or connection quality. This tool is similar to ping command line utility and it provides intuitive user interface, more statistical information in real-time for multiple hosts. NetPinger relays on Internet Protocol [IP] and Internet Control Message Protocol [ICMP]. It works by sending small portion of data as package to destination host.
The host immediately returns received data to the source computer. This way the utility can measure two basic things about network connection quality: response time and number of lost packages. Based on that, NetPinger can provide other information such current state of host and its availability, average response time, percents of lost packages and others. Version 1.1 includes unspecified updates.
