  Program crashed the first time I tried to copy my playlists, but worked the second time.

  I used a laptop running XP and iTunes 10.1.1.4 to extract playlists residing on my wife's old 20 gig iPod Classic. She had put a lot of effort into the playlists, so they were worth some time and effort to save. The process is not difficult, but not obvious either. I found a help topic on Music Rescue's web site for moving single playlists with an associated video tutorial: very helpful. The process is simple. After opening Music Rescue, you have to "queue up" each playlist and then copy them (with their associated music, if I understand what was happening correctly) to iTunes. I followed the instructions in the video tutorial, but had the program crash. I reopened the program and tried doing just one playlist to see if that would work. It did, with the surprising side benefit that it also copied all of the playlists that I had queued up prior to the first crash. My guess is that previous operation that I interrupted caused the crash, so other users might not experience this issue. I needed the playlists on the laptop we use as our media center, so I exported them from iTunes on the laptop with Music Rescue, imported them on the other (one by one using iTunes' dumb interface) and voila, we were back in business. Note: you can copy the entire contents of an iPod as well. I explored this functionality first and it worked fine. I recommend this product.

  On the first go round it didn't upload my playlists properly. Seemed to make duplicates in ITUNES but not synchronize back to my Ipad Nano.

  Pros

  I lost one of my hard drives and needed to "rescue" some songs off of my iPod. This program was easy to use and it allowed me to find the songs I was missing and copy them to my other hard drive and it automatically added them to iTunes.

  There was a nag screen every 50 files copied.

  Summary

  This program is great. Use it, and then license it too. The nag screen is appropriate, the developers should be rewarded financially for creating a really nice app.

  I lost my hard drive to malware and had to reformat. I had one pissed off daughter without her itunes. I messed around with the methods for copying files and folders into itunes and couldn't get it to work right. I downloaded this and in half an hour had her itunes completely restored. I'm going to pay for it even though I don't know that i'll need to use it very much. Great program! Very simple and intuitive.

  Everytime I pull this program up now it says that PodUtil has encountered a problem and may crash etc. Can anyone help me? I loved this program but i just seem to get it working anymore, I've tried removing the program from my computer and downloading it again...Any input would be very helpful...thanks
