Easy to use and it has never failed to snag any video I have found online. It is my go to app for video capture. Very handy

Pros
Quick downloads from a variety of sites and isn't just limited to YouTube as so many shareware softwares are. Very simple operation. Access to sites other shareware software can't access.
Cons
It's not immediately clear that the Trial version operates the same as the Pro version. Other than that it's flawless.
Summary
MovieSherlock is very easy to use and quickly accesses and downloads videos from sites other video download software can't reach. And it does it regardless if that site has advertisements that precede the video and without getting the ads. I highly recommend this software.

Simply won't download Dailymotion videos that you want.
Summary
I had the simple version, and it worked fine. Wanted to save a few favorites I had found on Dailymotion so paid for full version. It will download some videos, but won't get the ones you want even with cut and paste into download field. It says: "link not found" even when directly copied and watching video you want.
By the way, after a couple of days waiting, total support consisted of "download newest version".
In the meantime, I found an app for iPhone that will do exactly what I wanted for FREE! -

Lets you do everything you need to with youtube!! Plus it has a video capture. Def worth the 39.99 for the full. You will understand why once you start playing with the trial. If you have Mountain Lion like I do you will understand the first time you try this software that it has solved al the problems!!

Not one con to this software. I spent three days going over software that claims to download youtube videos and not one of them worked even remotely as user friendly as MovieSherlock.

"The absolute best You Tube Downloader"

This is a fast You Tube downloader, and it also downloads Vimeo and Dailymotion. You can choose .mp4 video or .mp3 audio. Most of the time the video downloads quickly to .mp4 without the necessity of a second slow conversion process to .mp4. The developers have made some great improvements recently including the ability to choose the precise video quality to download on You Tube, which is a great help. This is a superb You Tube downloader and well worth any extra cost over competing products. The customer support is excellent.
Cons
None that I can think of, although perhaps they could add more web sites besides You Tube, Vimeo and Daily Motion.
Summary
I believe that this is the best You Tube downloader on the market. Every Mac User who even occasionally wants to save a You Tube file to their hard drive should have this.

Already tried many downloaders for video. All seemed very good at start, but after a while there were always some problems. I bought MovieSherlock some time ago in a MU-Promo offer. It works very quick and what's great: that it makes it possible to capture streaming video. With the last update there is a very cute button that shows up automatically near a video in Safari. One click and MovieSherlock starts downloading. Downloading never was so easy and user-friendly.
