  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This product offers very little more than iSquint by Techspansion in some areas and quite a bit less in others. Be aware that MoviePod will squish widescreen movies to fit the screen of your iPod. While you may tell MoviePod not to do this by setting the ratio yourself, it doesn't help when you have a number of different screen ratio movies you would like to do in a batch. I recomend picking up iSquint for free and then paying for VisualHub if you really want some extra features.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br /> A really worthwhile application. I've been downloading music videos from YouTube and saving them via KeepVid as .flv files. MoviePod converts them perfectly and adds them automatically to my iTunes library so I can upload them to play on my iPod. And the program isn't thrown by the occasional format that cannot be converted for iPod. Well done!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />It's easy to use, and the interface is clean. iSquint, a freeware/donationware competitor appears to have more features but, for the newness of the video iPod and these applications, I have not yet chosen one over the other. iSquint does offer the option fo optimize for either the iPod or the TV and, as yet, I have not evaluated the difference. Additionally, iSquint offers two different quality levels but, again, I have yet to evaluate this feature

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This does what it says, and does it effectively. Produces good video for use on the 5th generation iPod. Very clean user interface and preferences choices. Would be nice if MoviePod automatically adjusted to the aspect ratio of the video so I didn't have to launch the application and change the preferences before dragging a movie to the application's icon. I will submit a suggestion along with my shareware fee. Definitely worth $10.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Needs Work - Beware. Seems to do something on my G5 - but after the processing - the "converted" files are nowhere to be found? They are not in the folder MoviePod supposedly saved to - They are not in the iTunes Video playlist (which also doesn't exist). This app does have the best drag n drop GUI of the bunch, and seems to have Batch processing - If it would only do something - we might have something here.
