CNET Editors' review
Movie Label 2010 is a multifeatured database program that allows users to organize their movie collections. Although we liked the program's many options and sleek interface, it didn't always run as well as it should have.
The program's interface will look familiar to users of Office 2007 products. Everything is fairly intuitive, although given the number of features, sometimes users will have to do a bit of poking around to find what they're looking for. There are several ways for people to enter movie titles; Movie Label can search for and download information from IMDb, gather information from a DVD, or import titles from a text file. Although the program can be used simply to keep track of movies stored elsewhere, such as on DVD, users can also play movies that are stored on their computers directly from Movie Label, which is nice. Users can also create a database of contacts in order to keep track of whom they loan their movies to. The program's Help file is well-written and thorough.
Overall, we liked the program just fine; it didn't seem particularly better or worse than other similar programs we've used. We were a bit concerned that at one point while we were attempting to download information for a TV show, the program froze up and then crashed. We restarted and it was fine after that, but we can't be sure this was a one-time occurrence; users would be wise to use the entire 14-day trial period before purchasing. Movie Label 2010 installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend it to all users.

It helps me a lot to put order to my videos.

-
"Easy to use with minimumal effort..."
Version: Movie Label 2013 5.1.4
Pros
It gets most of the data from IMDB, finds possible matches from the data entered and you select from choices and it downloads the data for a single movie or a batch of them. The support system is fast and very responsive.
Cons
None, really, none I've seen in my useage.
Summary
This software really works well for keeping track of your videos. Even helps you keep track of the ones you are not smart enough NOT to loan to friends and relatives.

"2 For 2 (2 much for 2 little)"
Version: Movie Label 2013 5.1
Pros
Nice, modern interface. Movie and cast/crew trivia is interesting.
Cons
Inflexible, expensive, developer ignores suggestions. Costs more than ANY other program of this type, though it lacks features found in free programs.
Summary
This program sits alone as the single most expensive movie database program out there, and for no good reason. Not only does it not to anything unique, but it lacks features that can be found in other programs that do what this does, and some of those are FREE!
While you can number your objects, if you, like I do, have a numbering system that includes letters, you can't use it. Also, surprisingly, there are NO custom fields that you can use to display information you might want to track that the program normally doesn't (as I said, there ae free programs that do that!)
For several versions I have been crontacting the developer to suggest these easily implemented features and have gotten no response whatsoever. If they want your money, they should at least respond to your suggestions, even if they decide not to implement them.
Other than the trivia, there is really nothing that truly separates this program from the rest of the pack, except the price, and it's really not worth it. The average movie database program is around thirty dollars, with a few as high as forty. Given the limitations of MovieLabel, it borders on insulting to be asked to cough up fifty bucks for it.
Before you drop half a C-note on this program, I strongly suggest you try out some of the many free and lower-cost programs first. Which brings up another thing; you'll have to hurry, because this program offers only a stingy 14-day trial. -
"Gets better with every release."

"Great"
Version: Movie Label 2013 4.1
Pros
I like this version a lot. I enjoy the inventory of all of my movies. I have a 400 DVD player from Sony and now have it about half full. I print out the report and have it in a note book so I can go to the movie I want to watch.

"Nice Clean interface, Very well implemented software"
Version: Movie Label 2013 4.1
Pros
All you need to do is enter the movie title and it does the rest!
The layout is excellent and in addition to the movie information it also downloads the links to trailers and other pieces of trivia.
Highly recommend this to anyone who has a disk based collection or a mixed disk/hard drive collection of movies.
Cons
Slightly slow to open up. Takes about the same time as opening up Excel 2007 or Word.
