Money Manager Ex provides an easy method for monitoring household income and expenditures. While easy to operate, users may be turned off by the amount of work required to keep the numbers accurate.
The program's interface is easily the highlight of Money Manager Ex. With a simple-to-manage tree outlining accounts and reports, users can quickly monitor their situations. Inputting new data flowed intuitively and required a small commitment of time. In addition, the program provides users with an incredibly in-depth Help file, providing details on every aspect of the program. The program plans ahead for investments, savings, and expenses. Our finances were showcased quickly and easily, which was a highlight. Our only concern is that users will not like how much work the program requires. Each debit card purchase, check written, and dollar spent needs to be cataloged in order to provide an accurate representation, which we felt could take a lot of time. However, for someone willing to do the work, the results are great.
The program also features easy-to-operate reports. With several pie charts showcasing incoming and outgoing money, users can virtually see their money. This freeware program is a lot of work for users. However, we feel the work is worth it, as Money Manager Ex provides an accurate snapshot of your financial world.

"Great tool - it is worth the time"
Pros: Easy to use and useful charts.
Cons: It is a lot of work and it isn't searchable.

"I like it very much. Covers all the basics."
Pros: I has all the facilities I require. I am switching from MS Money 2005
Cons: I wouild like to see a better display of the actual performance versus budget . I cannot find a way to 'sell' shares'.
Summary: I will continue with this product. I am considering using Excel to do more graphics. I am looking for a way to eport data to Excel.

"Excellent software for personal use"
Pros: Easy and convenient interface. Instant updation of transactions. Importantly, such an excellent software is being provided by the developer free of cost.
Cons: Data back up should be taken before we go for an updated version of the software

Pros: It provides what I want. Exceeds other account programs for personal use. It's FREE.
Cons: No problems found.
Summary: A good personal program. Good simple reports that are not confusing. The best program I have found from either purchased or free banking/accounting programs.
