Repair, modify, and bring back Windows Live Messenger.
Messenger Reviver automatically installs, repairs and/or modifies Windows Live Messenger as well as Windows Messenger to continue signing in despite being blocked by Microsoft. It supports modifying all language versions and can automatically install either 2009 or 2012 versions in 47 different languages. It will automatically attempt to detect if Messenger is still installed, which versions are eligible for modification and if you need to run a repair or new installation to bring Messenger back.
It worked in 1 minute flat. I played around with install and uninstall for hours before trying to download this for my new laptop. Im always wary when downloading programs that are not from big corporations, but Im glad I tried Reviver. It was my last resort, and I would recommend it to anyone as their first. Many thanks to the program developer.
Cons
none/ 10 character
Summary
It works, but causes suspicious behavior, hence 1 star.
BuddyLama
Pros
It does what it claims; allows MSN Messenger to login and function normally as it used to.
Cons
After running Messenger Reviver, I launched MSN Messenger and it reported that I was logged into MSN Messenger from 2 different places -- I wasn't. Today it reported I was logged into Messenger from 3 different places...
I found this very disconcerting, and decided to uninstall Reviver, however, there is no Uninstaller and it does not appear in Add/Remove Programs. To get rid of it I had to do a System Restore to a date prior to installing Reviver. This also returned MSN Messenger to its dysfunctional state.
Summary
I do not trust Reviver. Dump MSN Messenger and use Pidgin instead.
