  Works great on a STATIONARY desktop computer. Works as advertised.

  As long as you realize that this product WILL NOT WORK for you if you are a mobile user. If you have your phone sitting next to your stationary computer and you have your MagicJack dongle plugged in to your computer ALL THE TIME, then this product is for you.

  Summary

  Don't waste your money thinking that the software (somehow) manages your MJ or MJ+ dongle. This is a piece of COMPUTER software and requires that you dedicate your computer to running the program at all times WITH your MJ device plugged in to your phone and Computer. ALL THREE (MJ, Phone, and computer) must always be connected together.

  Summary

  YES, you DO need to be aware that your dongle has to be plugged into your computer for this plugin to work. It does not work over the internet or LAN, however if you can deal with that fact this little piece of code works flawlessly. FYI to all: Plugins by nature often "break" when the main software is updated. It's not that big a deal for such an inexpensive plugin. Just wait a bit and they'll update it, which is exactly what happened with this plugin. By the time I downloaded and tested it, it worked perfectly fine. I got it solely for the anonymous call block and blacklist features, put my own cell into it, and now my phone doesn't make a sound when a blacklisted number calls. For twenty bucks even though it has to be plugged in, it's a far better option than any of the standalone gadgets that do this, some of which, from the reviews I've read are unpredictable.

  They have not responded to emails regarding product problem with the latest MJ update. The problem is the phone does not ring, but all other features are working.

  This worked great, does exactly what it states, except with the MJ update that just came out a couple of days ago. I'm hoping for an update, because this has been so helpful in my house.

  Look, don't be a tool. OBVIOUSLY if you have this software downloaded to your COMPUTER but your MJ isn't hooked up to your computer it ain't gunna work, duh. I mean really people, DUH. I can't believe that people would actually leave a review saying that COMPUTER SOFTWARE didn't work for a MJ Plus when the MJ Plus isn't plugged into the computer. HOW STUPID ARE WE?!?!?!

• Worthless for Magic Jack Plus

  NONE since the whole purpose of getting the Magic Jack Plus was to not have to have it hooked up to my computer/laptop all the time to receive phone calls. That is why I didnt even mess with the regular magic jack!

  Cons

  Have to have the device in the usb port of your computer or laptop in order to use any of the features it states it has and to receive or make phone calls! This defeats the purpose of waiting to get the Magic Jack Plus whihc does not require you to have it hanging out of your computer or having your computer on all the time.

  Summary

  Thankfully you get the free 7 day trial and within minutes of downloading it, we decided it would serve NO PURPOSE for us. I would like to find these features some where else, especially the caller id call waiting.

• Great Concept but misleading to say it work on PLUS!

  Great concept, perfect for anyone still using the old MagicJack adaptor that connects direct to your computer where the phone only works when your computer is on. Lot's of great features for a very fair price I would have been glad to pay. Unlike what others have said, things have changed and they do now have customer support on their website (I don't know how the respond, I didn't try but their is the ability to contact the author of this software there).

  Unfortunitly, very misleading to say the new version of MagicJackFeatures Plugin is now been redesigned to be fully compatible with the MagicJack Plus because the whole point of the "Plus" is to not need a computer connected 24/7 to work but rather opperate through your router. As copied direct from the authors site "quote"... ===================================================== Can't Get It To Work With MJ+ Attached To Router The Magicfeatures Plugin will only work when a regular magicJack or magicJack Plus dongle is plugged into the USB port of a computer. You must also disconnect the Internet cable from the magicJack Plus dongle. ===================================================== In short, this is to disable the whole point of the Plus converting it back to the old MagicJack dongle in the first place and forfitting the whole idea of having purchased the plus so "NO - IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE MAGIC JACK PLUS".

  Summary

  Unless you are willing to give up the idea of why you purchased a MagicJack Plus in the first place (to be able to connect the dongle directly to the router without the use of a computer having to run 24/7 in order to have phone service) than no, this software is not compatible with the "PLUS" as advertised here and is "VERY MISLEADING" which looks really bad but atleast they give you 7 days to see what is more important to you - Not having to run a bunch of wires to your computer making it less mobil which sucks especially for laptops and having to keep it running all day and night to get phone calls or to have these nice features. Oh why hasn't MJ figured out how to do this already? The choice of what is more important is yours.

• Makes My MagicJack Really Useful

  1. Gives the ability to screen out all calls except those on my list. 2. It displays the name of the person calling on my phone and also speaks it out. 3. Lets me call my husband without having to punch in his extension number. 4. Lets me forward my phone calls to my cellphone using my phone keypad.

  Cons

  I can't think of any at the moment and would have probably decided to dump magicJack for something with the features I really need if I hadn't found this program.

  Summary

  Turns a magicJack into something definitely worth keeping.
