Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros: Installs on Win 7/64 bit without fuss. Is easy and intuitive to use. Can play most CD/DVD formats, including Nero's Audio NRG (which not even Nero products can do on Vista and Win 7). Best of all is the price!!
Cons: When playing NRG Audio CDs tends to stick at the end of each track and needs to be manually advanced to the next track. Would be nice to be able to mount images by right clicking on the image itself and / or right clicking on the drive in explorer.
Summary: Great product in need of some polishing.

Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros: simple, intuitive, no kinks
Cons: nothing I can think of
Summary: Does exactly what it needs to do. It works in Windows 7, but you need to uninstall and reinstall if you upgraded from Vista (which is what I did). Excellent software.

Cons: Double-clicking the desktop icon does nothing but put an icon into the System Tray. You then must realize that and know enough to right-click the icon in the System Tray to bring up the application's options. Saves on the UI but not intuitive.
Summary: Once you know where to find the 'User Interface' then the product is easy and quick to use. Even the "How To's" are pretty extensive for a free product. Heck, some not-free products have poorer documentation than does MagicDisc. For processing an... read more >>
