• Works with the provider update but lots of restrictions

  Pros

  YouTube works if you download the provider update that's available on Google Code...

  Cons

  ...but the other channels showing up (Dailymotion, MSN Soapbox) don't work. (MSN says no videos found even if you do a custom search; DailyMotion shows the thumbnails but won't play, saying the video is unavailable or can't be played due to technical reasons.) I imagine the other channels mentioned above by another reviewer are also broken, so they were removed from the provider update. With YouTube, you can't watch anything that's age-restricted, or syndicated onto YouTube like Vevo, which is where most official music videos and movie previews come from anymore. It also won't let you watch anything that's restricted against viewing in your country. So expect to get that error message a lot. A reviewer above states it stops working after a few days; I only just installed it but will try to update the review if it stops working.

  Summary

  It's worth the few minutes that it takes to download this and the provider update, and install them. But you'll probably still be going back to your browser for a lot of mainstream content.

  Pros

  Triple tap support makes search a breeze, has support for Youtube (inc HD), GeekBriefTV, Lab Rats, DailyMotion. Fully integrated into Media Center.

  Cons

  Pros

  None, really.

  Cons

  Although you can display the videos, you can not get them to play. Message comes up saying that either the video is no longer there or there is technical problems.

  Summary

  Don't bother with this program. It just flat out wont work out.

  Pros

  Running 64-bit Win 7 with 64-bit MacroTube. "This video is either no longer available..." error on every Youtube video. Latest version worked for one day and stopped. Nothing will make it work now, and no solution anywhere that works.

  Cons

  "This video is either no longer available, or unplayable for technical reasons". Others have this problem also, so why even release something this buggy without a warning? Waste of my time.

  Summary

  Apparently, the 32-bit version of Windows 7 seems to work with it, but if you're running 64-bit, you take your chances.
