Publisher's description
From R&L Software :Converts Microsoft Works files (extension wks and wdb) to Excel format. MS Works Converter can convert great numbers of Works files in one go. Microsoft does not provide an import filter for Excel to load Works-WKS and WDB files later than version 2. (for Works-WPD and Word they do). There is no standard way to convert a lot of Works-WKS files into the Excel format.
The only thing you can do is, provided you have a Works installation, to save each file out of Works manually into XLS-Format, which, frankly, is a pain in the neck. Our Converter does not need a Works installation and you can use it for batch conversion. Version 2.20 has improved Vista compatibility.

Version: MS Works Converter 2.20
Pros: It works (and this entry needs minimum of ten characters. Pathetic)
Cons: It tries to be clever but ends up being stupid by putting rubbish is some converted cells.
Summary: Avoid it unless you have lots of time to undo the rubbished cells

Version: MS Works Converter 2.20
Pros: Works Beautifully. The program does exactly what I want it to do: Convert WDB files to Excel 2003 (version that I use).
Cons: None that I can find.
Summary: I received a file from a colleague in Works format. I use Excel 2003 and needed the file to be in that format. This tool did exactly what it said it would do. I didn't have the issues other reviewers reported since I don't use Excel 2007.

Version: MS Works Converter 2.20
"DOES NOT WORK WITH EXCEL 2007"
Pros: None. Wasted my time trying to download it. No stars if possible.
Cons: You get a "Setup error" message which reads: "Could not find Excel 97/2000/XP/2003, installation stopped. Please note: this converter can not work with Excel 2007, because the Excel converter interface does not work any more in Excel 2007."
Summary: So why don't the publishers warn you of this in their review?
