Serious eBay sellers often opt for special templates and other enhancements to make their listings more attractive. Listing Factory 2009 promises to create custom eBay listings with minimal user effort, but unfortunately, it did not deliver on its promises. This program is in fact one of the single worst pieces of software we've ever reviewed.
The program's interface looks nice enough, and a wizard feature promises to make the process of creating an eBay listing easy and intuitive. But right from the start, the program puked up error message after error message. The messages popped up as fast as we could dismiss them. Once we'd clicked through all of those, we set about trying to create an eBay listing. The program provides a long list of templates to choose from, but doesn't seem to offer any sort of preview, so we couldn't really tell what we were doing. Listing Factory gives users the option of saving the listing HTML to be used elsewhere--on Craigslist, for example--but when we tried to view the HTML file, the code was invalid. When we tried to sign into our eBay account to do what Listing Factory is really meant to do, upload listings to eBay, we got more error messages and no results. The program's online Help file is for the 2008 version of the program, and we have no idea if the two versions differ significantly. Overall, we found Listing Factory 2009 to be poorly designed and barely functional, and we do not recommend it.
Listing Factory 2009 installs and uninstalls without issues, which is perhaps the only good thing we can say about it.

No support, Program crashes jumps around while typing. Then just try to upload.. it fails to connect to the server and there is no one there to help. A big water of money.

There are no help screens, it is almost impossible to edit-nothing to guide you. It will take you about an hour and a half pewr listing as compared to just a fe minutes directly on eBayw

I am very surprised by the CNET editors comments, because I usually agree with them. I have looked at numerous Ebay template tools, and the templates are typically revolting. Not the case here. Yes, it took time to learn, but it was well worth it.

Also, I did have a display issue with the pop up window that is used to submit the listing on eBay. I got on Listing Factory's site, connected quickly with a chat tech support person, who was able to resolve the problem: that the Windows 7 font size dpi is set too large (125) out of the box. Now everything works perfectly.
Editors - I encourage you to look again. I have looked at countless listing tools, and this one is by far the best. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, aesthetics --especially for an art dealer like me -- is critical to presenting the right appearance to potential customers. -

Would have given Listing Factory 09 a big fat zero, the but the CNET rating system won't let me! Error messages galore. Could barely get the software working. Just try contacting support, you be lucky to get any reply. In summary, this product is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Don't try or buy.

Once it is set up is easy to use and even easier to modify templates to create your own individually unique templates.
Cons
Can be quite slow to upload at busy times and sometimes times out and so that you can't save the current listing you were uploadfing.
Summary
As i don't sell on e*** I required an easy to use listing creator that allowed me to use the html code to list else where. It delivered 100% in this regard.

I downloaded and installed the program, this informed me that my trial period had expired??. I then tried to contact the support team, sales team and technical support on four occasions over 3 weeks. I have been unable to contact anyone!!, I am trying to run a business but It seems to me this is a company who couldn't care less.
