Publisher's description

From Learn Spanish :

Learn Spanish and Speak Espanol is a revolutionary and award winning new system for learning Spanish designed by language experts. The program contains personalized lessons that give special attention to every day language and pronunciation. Users have access to two different speeds of playback for each item. The InstantSpeak method uses a unique audio flash card system that allows you to effortlessly recall what you have learned. Users guide themselves through over one hundred lessons. Each lesson contains a real world conversation between two native speakers. Conversations are further broken down into individual sentences which include pronunciation, meaning and the literal translations of the words that make up the sentences. Once the user has gone through a lesson, the items from that lesson can be added to a flash card section of the program for review. Items from all sections can be added to the flash card section for review.

"TERRIBLE PRODUCT BUT A GREAT SCAM"

by mgallagherco on April 9, 2007

    Pros: Absolutely nothing

Cons: where to begin...as useless a program for learning spanish as I've ever seen. That "30 day money back guarantee" sounds great, but you'll have to mail in a letter and pray you get a refund. I signed up and paid them the $45.99 easily online, but when I realized what a terrible product they offer and wanted my money back 2 days later, I had to mail them in a letter asking for my refund (why I couldn't cancel online is beyond me). Becoming suspicious of this company, I sent a certified letter asking for my refund. At the same time I sent a few emails to the company detailing my complaints...I received no reply at all. I called American Express and asked if they had a phone number for Covantis Instant Speak because I could not find one anywhere. Amex gave me the number they had on file...but it is a number that is out of service. A month later after hearing nothing, I just reported to my credit card this is a fraudulent charge and I had exhausted every option in trying to get my refund. I have never had so much difficulty in dealing with a company as I have had with Instant Speak. Be aware of this product and look around for a better alternative, because there are plenty available.

    "Ehhh..."

by fedburin on April 3, 2006

    Pros: Large vocabulary. Native speakers.

Cons: Numerous spelling errors. Grammatical errors in English as well in Spanish. Money back requires you to mail in request and the subscription is on auto renew. I have seen better programs maybe not as cheap but I am not impressed with this one.

"Excellent program with lots of audio content"

    by nwilson2 on February 13, 2006

Pros: There are so many courses out there its hard to know which one to choose. I chose this along with the Pimsleur Spanish course on the recommendation of friends at my language club. After using it for three weeks I can say that I love this program. It is very practical and my Spanish has improved so quickly. The other day I was speaking Spanish to a Mexican friend of my cousin who is staying in Mexico and he asked if I was Mexican. It was a great feeling.
