This frre software did the job, BUT NOTE - the instructions for PW recovery state that you may have to run the second recovery option. The first option did not work for me - the second was fine. I guess those who have given negative reviews were too impatient and not careful enough.

Needed to crack a lost admin PW. waited over one hour for software to locate and DL the alleged ISO data. Burn process was suspiciously short. Not a surprise since the disk was unusable. I had to give a star rating but this garbage isn't even worth ONE star. Not recommended even to an enemy.

GREAT TOOL FOR THOSE THAT HAVE FORGOTTEN THEIR WINDOW'S PASSWORD. TOOK LESS THAN 30 MINUTES START TO FINISH. SURE BEATS THREE WEEKS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT, AND ONLY GETTING "YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL WINDOWS 7"

"Recovered 5 Gb My Docs folder"

Pros
Reocvered an entire My Documents folder over 6Gb large from a formatted hard drive. Interface is very intuitive and product worked very well. Even has a utility to create a bootable flash drive or CD to boot drives where the OS is damaged and will not boot.
Cons
It's not the fastest at reocvering, but it works well.
Summary
Only true, fully functional freeware recovery product I was able to find on CNet.
