This robust password manager is a must-use freeware tool that supports multiple operating systems and browsers. With LastPass, you create a master password, and then it uses automatic form filling and one-click log-in to simplify password entry.
LastPass will create secure passwords for you, as well as allow for secure password sharing, password import and export, secure note-taking, and password backup and restore. Because the data is stored on its encrypted servers, you can access your passwords remotely. If you're worried about key logging, LastPass can make a single-serving-use password for you. You can manually add sites, like financial ones, that would otherwise prevent the in-browser password manager from saving your password.
The interface is a basic set of fields to fill out, with several drop-down menus, but that should make it simple to use, if not outright familiar to many people.

Version: LastPass Password Manager 1.69.0
"The last password manager you will ever need."
Pros: Easy integration with either IE, Firefox, or Chrome
Robust password generator
Customizable interface
Very straightforward to useCons: To modify account settings you must go to a web-page interface
Summary: I started using LastPass when I tried out Chrome. I fell in love with it right away. Now I am using Internet Explorer and it works just as well. I always kept my passwords in an excel spreadsheet and would have to copy and paste them into the site I was using. What a hassle that was!! But not anymore!! Now LastPass automatically logs me in to any secure website. And I love the fact that I can have LastPass generate secure passwords for me. Overall its very easy to use and I feel very secure. Well worth 5 stars!

Version: LastPass Password Manager 1.69.0
"Good, but room for improvement"
Pros: Free, configurable, cross-browser, and does many things well - autofill, autologin, secure notes, password generator. Since data is stored in the cloud, it's cross-platform and cross-machine. Data is encrypted BEFORE it leaves your machine.
Cons: Only one security zone.
Some of the pop-up aids need improvement.Summary: I can definitely recommend LP, but understand that though it is good, it is not yet fully mature. The guys over at LP work hard and are responsive in their public forums, so I expect that in time its voids will be filled.
The biggest problem right now is the lack of multitple security zones. With Roboform, one can place a site in either the regular zone or designate it "Protected", which means it is behind an application password. Thus, the user could surf pedestrian sites without worrying about logging into Roboform. Most browsing for most people is done this way. Even if he got up and left the computer running and unattended, there would be no opening for getting into protected sites.
Not so with LP. One password, required to access any LP info, opens the whole database for use. So either you're logged in or you're not. This is inherently a much less secure system than RF's. Joe has acknowledged the situation and stated that zones are on the plate.
Because of this, I have LP set to log itself out periodically, and I am forced to log back in again a few times a day. I do this via script and hotkey, which enables the use of a secure password and avoids use of the clipboard.
Some of the popups could stand enhancement. They would be more helpful if they would allow editing site parameters on the spot, like autofill, autologin, full edit, etc. As it is, one needs to do quite a bit of menu-diving to access most of these functions.
But overall I'm very happy with LP, and can heartily recommend it. I use it in Chrome, and rarely IE, on Windows. -

Version: LastPass Password Manager 1.69.0
"great product"
Pros: Excellent security options, including USB keys and a printable grid. High quality form recognition, far better than Chrome. Makes it easy to generate random passwords for each site. The Android app is awesome. Secure data on the go!
Cons: None that I noticed
Summary: An excellent product that integrates perfectly with Chrome, Firefox, and IE. The android application is perfect. So many of these Web 2.0 companies seem excessively apple focused, but not these guys.
Overall, I hope they stay in business. Worth the $12 a year for the pro version! -

Version: LastPass Password Manager 1.69.0
"Excellent password manager that is easy to use."
Pros: Only have to remember one password and this program remembers all my passwords and it works with both of my browsers. I do not have to reenter what passwords that were created in one browser to the other.
Cons: Very little. It does not automatically detect all requests for passwords but you can still get it to fill in your log in information manually. I wish it worked for all of my passwords on my computer.
