"I agree with johnnyincentx"
Version: Krystal Audio Engine 1.0.1
Pros
This a great "FREE" program. It does exactly what is says it will do. I have no problems with it at all.
Cons
There is nothing I don't like about the program. It works just fine. As far as burning to CD you could probably export the WAV to Windows media player to burn it. I haven't tried it but I'm fairly sure it would work.
Summary
Bottom line, This is a great free program to get you started with learning to record, mix etc. multiple tracks. I use it all of the time and have come to like it very much. The more you use it the more you will learn about it, and the better you will become at using it.

"Good start - two more features would make it a phenom."
Version: Krystal Audio Engine 1.0.1
Pros
Nice effects that are laid out well and are easy to use and adjust. Easy to import sound files. Sound board is lid out well.
Cons
PLEASE hook it up with an 'Undo' button, and hook it up with MP3 export ability!! If you do a function that you wind up not liking, it becomes a lot of work to undo it. I find it rather clumsy to work through cut, paste, & other modifications.

"For free it is wonderful. sure can't beat the Price"
Version: Krystal Audio Engine 1.0.1
Pros
I was able to learn enough to record to CD in one afternoon. Why would a child with a computer need a Karaoke machine. We rip music from CD's to wav format and import into Krystal and then sing along.
Cons
I can't complain except that I don't sound like Celine Dion.
Summary
Not as easy as a karaoke machine to learn and use but this is a very good place to start with computer studio recording. Then if you think you are really good you might upgrade to something else. I'm no pro but it's a nice little program

"Pretty Good"
Version: Krystal Audio Engine 1.0.1
Pros
I really like this product and it does basicly everthing that I need for it to do for me as simple recordings.
Cons
There are a few things that I would chage about it is the fact that it does not support Mp3 and there is no way to record to a cd so if you were tring to make a demo cd like me myself is trying to do this is not the program for you. But other than that this is a really good program you just have to take time to learn how to use it.

"Good but..."
Version: Krystal Audio Engine 1.0.1
Pros
Very advanced features for a free software. I was impressed by this.
Cons
It only supports .wav, and some file formats that I haven't heard before. All my music collections are either MP3 or WMA formats so I couldn't use this software at all. It should support mp3 at least. Who uses .wav anymore!!

"Free doesn't get any better"
Version: Krystal Audio Engine 1.0.1
Pros
It does everything someone needs to do basic audio recording. It's capable of doing most everything an old school 16 track analogue tape studio can do, and much much more and without any hiss or noise.
No spyware, no bogus crapware foisted on you by installing it.
This author is clearly a very generous man to share this with everyone. He has no reason to go to all this trouble.
I say this because there will be those who complain the program has limitations.
Well duh!!!! It's completely free, and despite that it is quite capable of replacing an old school analogue tape studio completely.
If you want a high-quality FREE program to record your band performing live this is the software for you.
Like all such software the more powerful your computer, the better the software will perform, but this program doesn't nearly demand as much power as others do.
Cons
More than likely if someone complains about this software, it's because they are a newbie, and didn't take the time to learn how to use it.
It does what it sez it can, and that's all it's supposed to do.
It doesn't DO them automatically, and doesn't read your mind.
If you are not willing to set aside a couple days to learn nd practice using this software. pass it up. It's not dummyware.
