- I've hunted high and low on my PC and there's no PC-optimizer hiding anywhere on my machine even after a re-boot. In the "options" you may want to check "Do not Run Memory Cleaner in the backround. Just go to the Author's website to download the updates if you're afraid to run "check for updates'. I didn't have ay problems with that either. My ram usage dropped from 54% to 34% according to Windows Task Manager. Definitely speed things up.
Beware - crapware/malware!

- No pro. This is some of the worst crapware I've seen.

- Installation also includes PCOptimizer Pro, which is your standard pay to fix these fake issues computer software. The Memory Cleaner said it needed to update, but the updater didn't even function correctly. When it did manage to get it to work correctly, as far as I can tell it did nothing.
- Summary
- Stay away, and shame on you CNET, I thought you guys were better than this. Be wary of any good reviews on this "software".
Good cleaner and easy to use

- Safe with Norton Internet Security 2013. Low overhead utility and easy to use. Windows doesn't do a good job of freeing up memory that it has finished using. This helped re-gain most of it. Many users don't know how to use Task Manager and they don't need to.
- Cons
- For some PCs, it won't make a big difference, but that's the world of MS Windows.
- Summary
- While some of the reviews reflect poor ratings, you will have trouble finding a better utility without a lot of try-it and delete-it. That adds junk to the registry and ends up doing more harm than good. There's a lot of good value to this, but there is no perfect ram cleaner, no perfect registry cleaner, but there's plenty of good products.
This background program uses memory. It's a paradox.

- I have no idea what's good except for the live info bar about your memory usage. You can use Windows task manager for that and WTM allows u to shut down memory intensive apps.
- Cons
- If your not having memory problems, don't bother with this. If you are having memory problems, cough up the $$$ and buy more memory on eBay. You obviously need it.

- Buy more memory if u suspect you have a problem. Memory is the cheapest and easiest way to improve your computer speed.
It's very useful. It maintains my PC to run fast@smooth

- Quick and easy, doesn't kill tasks, they just trim it. It also has clear cache mode which also helps a lot.

- I had to keep toggling this program to startup with Windows, which it didn't before, but it seems like they fixed it.
