I own a Galaxy S3 I747 model. I was promised that a Jelly Bean update would be available via Kies.
Kies, no matter what I do or what drivers I put in, will never even NOTICE my phone. Doesn't even try.
So I'm stuck with Android ICS unless I root the device which is not a fun process so far. -

I just downloaded the update 2.5.3.13043_14 for Kies (update date 5/14/13. I have a Windows XP system.
A warning came up saying that the Kies software update had code that was not Designed for Microsoft Windows XP and their software product/update has not been tested for compatibility with Microsoft Windows operating systems through use of Microsoft-provided testing procedures.
So now I can't use their update software (and I stopped the installation) because I had to consider this:

Microsoft strongly recommends you only use device drivers with the Designed for Microsoft Windows XP logo. Installing device drivers that have not been digitally-signed by Microsoft may disable the system, allow viruses onto your computer, or otherwise impair the correct operation of your computer either immediately or in the future.
