This free Web browser is a great way to introduce your kids to the Internet on your terms.

The designers of KidRocket KidSafe Web Browser for Kids went all out on the user interface. You feel as though you're in a space station. The design is colorful and playful without being too loud. We immediately became addicted to the drawing and painting tools, and the math flashcards. The browser worked really well and we loved the setup of its interface. It comes preset with lots of kid-friendly Web sites, such as Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, and Barbie. Each site is presented as a thumbnail for easy viewing and access. We especially liked the time-lock feature that allowed us to manually set a time limit for browser use. The browser also has a lock mode that prevents anyone from exiting, minimizing, or accessing the admin settings without a password.

As much as we loved this browser, we would have liked to have a Help file included. We also wish we had the ability to add our own Web sites to the list of preset sites. Still, we highly recommend this free browser for any parents who wish to keep a watchful eye over their kids' browsing.

  "NOT good enough!!!"

  Pros: It has some websites fun for kids
  it has learning features
  and drawing

  Cons: it does let you add more websites
  it doesn't let you safe all settings

  Summary: i dont like this software because is not good enough for kids to experience
  A safer and a fun web experience

  "Looks safe, but can't receive e-mail"

  Pros: I like that it is a self-contained browsing environment. It has a timer that allows a parent to set an amount of time their child can browse or play games.

  Cons: It is set up to do outgoing email only - you have to provide a reply-to address and all incoming mail comes to that address, and is not viewable within the KidRocket browser. So email conversations can't happen within the Kidrocket environment.

  Summary: Another thing you can't do is add additional web pages to the trusted sites. There are about 10 sites that they have "approved" for kids, with tons of kid-safe content, but that is a miniscule slice of what is actually available. I think the develop... read more >>

  "Great browser, A must for kids... fast,easy and secure."

  Pros: Kids find an easy and fun way tolearn the basics of Math, Reading Web browsing, Email and much more this is a wonderful program for kids!!!.

  Cons: No cons at all!!! great software.
