"Usable, but a pain to install and use"

It worked pretty well once I managed to solve my problems with it, the biggest of which being a completely lack of information about registering it.
Cons
Registering this free software is a PITA.
Summary
Again, it works okay, and it really is, technically, free, but it's understandable that users may assume otherwise, since it demands registration without explaining that the registration is free or how to register it.
In fact, the best I can recall, the only way I was able to figure it out was by emailing the publishers complaining about the registration requirement when the product purported to be free, whereupon I was sent the (free) registration number by email.
Again, while the software works okay, I must give it a lower rating on the basis of this very poor/misleading handling of the free registration, and having to email them requesting it is a royal pain.
Plus, according to what I was told by them, if I ever need to install it on another machine I'll need to request a new registration. A very poor way of handling a supposedly free program, requiring the user to "jump through hoops" to get the facts and register it, many of whom will give up and write it off as a fraud before realizing this, as demonstrated by a couple of the other reviews here.
I suspect they made it so difficult as a ploy to get users to go to their site to try to figure it out, and subsequently end up buying one of their non-free programs, but if so, it's a lame strategy and probably shooting themselves in the foot, since many will simply give up on the program (and the company) after feeling that they have been misled. Which in my opinion, they are.
I can't give a product which is handled this poorly by its publisher more than 2 stars. -

It is free to use and there are no restrictions. For some reason there appears to be something wrong with the setup and you are asked for a licence no. I wrote to the software company and they didn't hesitate to send me a number to enable me to use this free product.

This version and version 4.0 are both labeled as free but its not. it is a Full Version Free To Try. You must register it after 30 days or it will not let you select files to join.If something is labeled as free then it is supposed to be free

This program will not do anything until you buy a license key. You can choose which videos you want to join, but when the "Join" button is clicked nothing happens. You have yo pay $20 for a license for this "freeware"!
