Used InstallPad for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This helpful installation aid is a boon for system administrators, but novices should skip this tool. InstallPad's small dialog interface merely lists programs with a few option links.
Using this application couldn't be easier. You merely click an Install link to add a program to your system or click the Install All button to add every program on the list. InstallPad quickly, and with little user intervention, installs listed applications.
InstallPad is preloaded with many popular programs. You just need to right click on an item to add a new application to the list, remove the selected program, or open a dialog to edit that program's selected options. You're going to need to edit some outdated items. We found a few that needed updated download URLs. Though InstallPad includes a Download Latest Version option, we found that it failed for some applications. Changing installer arguments is a mere matter of typing a few characters in a single field.
Users who are comfortable editing XML files can quickly create lists of programs for this utility to install. InstallPad's default applications may not thrill all users, but customizing is quick and easy. System administrators will find that InstallPad greatly simplifies installing numerous applications or helping novice users precisely install approved applications.
