"NOT SPYWARE FREE!"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
This program states that it is spyware free but it is not. Shortly after installing on a computer with windows freshly loaded minutes before I get a pop up from PC Optimizer. They lie...
Cons
Comes with spyware.
Summary
Angry that they straight out lie and say it is spyware free...

"No longer helpful with new UI"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
Great for creating CD/DVD projects.
Cons
Lacks proper CD copying and writing utilities. New UI is hard to navigate
Summary
The old InfraRecorder was simple and straight forward. There were several big buttons you could press to do the stuff you want. Now, there is a huge project box, and I can't believe they got rid of that amazing UI! I got BurnAware Free as an alternative to this formerly amazing program.

"0.52 Infrarecorder doesn't work for me"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
None, it didn't work.
Cons
gets into a scanning SCSI bus mode and can't get out. can't run it.
Summary
Installed and uninstalled Infrarecorder 0.52 from two different sources, one being sourceforge. When i would start the program, the pop-up window would say "scannning the SCSI bus". The program wouldn't budge from there. After 10 or 15 minutes, I clicked on the window and Windows would inform me that Infrarecorder wasn't responding. I had to tell the program to close for a half dozen cycles before it would. Task manager would't close it either. After two installations and uninstallations from one site and one from Sourceforge, all with the same result, i decided i have something better to do with my time.
I have a Dell XPS 410, 2.13Ghz and 2 GB memory running Vista SP2.
0.52 is the current version available for download. -

"Saves XML Compilation, but freezes on Windows 7/slow"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
XML Compilation, open source, maybe I can fix it!
Cons
Thinks I don't have DMA on my Windows 7 server 22x DVD Burner and appears to freeze.
Summary
I burnt one DVD, another multi-session didn't burn, I have little confidence after running version 0.50 for one day.

"Good easy to operate I install it on rebuilding comps."
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
Easy to install, easy to use, no one complains, they love it.
Cons
If it would only get me to the moon.
Summary
I like it.
-
"Painfully slow"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
Nice easy to understand user interface.
FREECons
It takes more than double than any other tool I have tried. In fact, tt takes about 15 mins doing who knows what before it starts burning. When it actually burns, the feedback is poor with no warning when something has gone wrong.
Summary
The tool have some promise, but it still in ALPHA state. It is a long way from being good enough for daily usage.
-
"i believe it;s just fine"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
it is simple and - most - it;s FREE!
Cons
i couldn't find where i can select multiple copies of a disk
-
"Frustratingly random results"
Version: Infra Recorder 0.43
Pros
Interface seems simple enough. Works okay when burning CDs.
Cons
Totally FREAKIN' unpredictable as to which files actually show up when burning a DVD. I can find no rhyme or reason to why certain files are actually burned, and the rest mysteriously disappear.
Summary
Okay for simple tasks, but utterly worthless when it comes to serious backups.
