Publisher's description of Identity Patrol
Identity Patrol was originally developed as an advanced tool to protect your online identity from any attempt to access your personal information. Our users quickly realized that although the program was engineered to protect against identity theft, the process of which it accomplished this made it an extremely powerful anti-spyware tool that was capable of detecting more than 116,000 known spyware threats including key loggers, malware, worms, trojans and system monitoring software - in fact in lab testing, Identity Patrol was able to detect all three hidden monitoring software test titles that were guaranteed by their distributors to be undetectable on the infected system. Because the program performs an extensive scan of your entire file and hard drive structure, it has the ability to find rogue programs that threaten your identity and privacy, and has a far higher detection rate then traditional spyware detection and removal programs.

Version: Identity Patrol 2
Pros: Seemed to do a good job finding spyware. It found several that free products did not find.
Cons: Did not work after purchasing. Support took very long time to reply. They had me reinstall but that didn't work either. 10 emails to customer support and still no refund. Horrible horrible customer support.

Version: Identity Patrol 2
"Don't waste your money on this!"
Pros: It "appeared" to have found some keyloggers on my computer that other scans had not.
Cons: Though it "found" keyloggers it would never remove them. Constantly asked me to restart computer and rerun scan just to find the threats still there. It also seems to throw up false threats and programs that are not even threats to begin with.
Summary: This product is a huge waste of money. I was planning on asking for my money back, but according to other reviews I'll never see that 35 bucks again.

Version: Identity Patrol 2
Pros: None. The cons completely negate any benefit of this software.
Cons: This company doesn't send you a registration code. If you didn't happen to write it down on their confirmation page, you're outta luck. I've submitted 4 tickets requesting this information and four times, they have closed my ticket without response.
Summary: It completely uninstalled a program that I actually like (thank goodness THAT company had sent me a registration code, so it was easy to reinstall), and the customer service is non-existent. I'm not exaggerating - there is quite literally NO custome... read more >>

Version: Identity Patrol 2
Pros: Apparently identified infected files.
Cons: Would not remove infected files. Each time I confirmed that I wanted to "Remove Infected Files", it required me to reboot Windows and rerun Identity Patrol. At the end of the new scan, the infected files were again listed. Would never removed them.
Summary: Doesn't remove problem files. Frustrating and a waste of time. Don't bother buying.

Version: Identity Patrol 2
"Very, Very slow customer service!!"
Pros: Ease of use
Cons: After running this software on my home computer I bought and installed this on my wifes computer. after only 2 weeks the program seemed to have uninstalled its self, so I downloaded the software again, reinstalled it still will not work. !!!!
Summary: The feature are easy to use but I don't like the update feature.
