Installing this browser reminds us of a game called Find 10 differences. Overtly speaking, Ideal Browser is not only based on Mozilla Firefox, it is its clone, supposedly created for promoting the WebCrawler search engine. As for the features missing in the original Firefox installation package, you can easily get them with Firefox just by installing plug-ins and extensions. However, if you are too lazy for this, Ideal Browser makes your life easier. It bundles media plug-ins and an extension enhancing tabbed browsing. All told, we recommend this totally free browser only if you don t already have Firefox installed.

Maybe it was lack of funds, maybe lack of interest and support. I don't know. whatever the reason, these people are not around anymore and this browser is no longer supported. Don't download or you WILL have problems within your operating system. I recommend Cnet remove this product from their download list.

there is nothing good about it wiping out my firefox

dont try this if u have firefox 3.x installed. it will wipe it out. it corruped it so bad that even after uninstalling ideal browser the firefox still says it is already still running. reboot computer reinstall firefox still says it.

I installed it and Firefox wouldn't run. When I clicked on Firefox Ideal opened up. It took over Firefox and then stalled so I couldn't get it to run.

Pros
Ideal Browser Firefox Edition is good for those who can't get Firefox. It has some good extensions installed all ready and has the same speed as the original Firefox. Not only that, it's theme is Qute (one of my favorite themes).
Cons
It too much of a clone. It looks like Firefox and does everything that Firefox does. Just get the original. This is just one of those generic browsers.
