It is a great and advanced-seeming Icon Editor. I really like how it has a one-file Icon Library feature. That can be very convenient to select through in the Windows Icon browser. Also, I had compatibility problems with the Icon files it produced when I used Easy Picture2Icon (http://download.cnet.com/Easy-Picture2Icon/3000-2192_4-10407633.html?tag=mncol;6). These weren't present with Icon Sushi.
One Thing I did not like is it does not have an installer. I recommend copying this folder once you unzip it to program files and make a shortcut (Icon!) to aicon.exe.

Updated on Dec 7, 2010After playing with it more, I can see it has a lot of useful features including the 256x256 windows 7 icons! And even the 256x256 icons work perfectly in other programs like Object Dock. My only real complaint is that it CANNOT resize pictures you import for you. You MUST use another image program to convert your image of choice into a 48x48 (XP / Normal Windows Large Icon) or 256x256 (Windows 7 Jumbo Icon) BMP or PNG file in order for Icon Sushi to work with it. You can even open up DLL files you find in windows (in XP try the classic Windows 3 moricons.dll under c:\Windows\system32) ;) and save them or your collection as a single Icon Library file (.ICL).
Once you get over the inconvenience of having to re-size and convert it to BMP or PNG in another program, this program can easily suit your Icon Creation needs! Don't let other people dictate what Windows will look like for you !!!!!!!
Updated on Dec 9, 2010I'm just noticing more great features of this product. It has an advanced transparency editor inside to make sure you can accomplish a transparent color in the icon. It also uses a nice spraypaint effect to accomplish this. Also, you can import PNG files that already have transparency and save them as .ico for windows --- so you can make them transparent in your favorite editing program and import them. Also, like any good icon editor, you can save "multi icons" --- a .ico file with multiple sizes embedded into it. I just saved one that looks perfect on XP (48x48) and has the full size in ObjectDock (256x256).
My only complaint with this software is a slight learning curve to understand all the features. It does it all. It's great! -
