From Tim Taylor :Icon Restore gives you the ability to save the placement of your desktop icons and restore them to their saved placement any time they get moved. Simply place your icons wherever you want them on your desktop, right click My Computer (or any system icon) and left click on 'save icon layout' from the pop up menu. If your icons ever get moved because your computer entered safe mode or you changed the screen resolution, right click My Computer and left click on 'restore icon layout' from the pop up menu. It is the perfect solution for anyone that needs to change the screen resolution frequently.

Version: Icon Restore 1.0
Pros: I always organise my desktop and then somehow within a few days my desktop is messed up! However, not any more this handy tool allows you to save the position of your desktop icons so if it gets messed up you can just restore them!
Cons: It took me a while to figure out how to use it as the instructions weren't clear enough!! 5 STAR AND FREE!!!!!!!

Pros: There is nothing I hate worse than having to rearrange icons on my desktop after changing resolutions. Does exactly what it should do. Everyone should use this.

Pros: I used to use a simuliar program to keep my Windows98 desktop icons in place. I love it then.
Now I have graduated to Windows XP. I found that this operating system had a "lock desktop items on desktop" program. No need for a Icon Restore program, right.... WRONG. XP crashes and forget where it locked your desktop icons, but this program doesn'tf orget.
GREAT TIME SAVER. A must have program.

"Filled a gap in windwos platforms"
Pros: You never have to "re-do" all the icons on your desktop. What joy!
Cons: That it doesn't a;ready come with the windows platform is the worst thing about this utility program.
