HitmanPro 3 finds and removes malware, adware, bots, and other threats that even the best antivirus suite can oftentimes miss. It's designed to run alongside your antivirus suite, firewall, and other security tools. HitmanPro 3.7.9 is available in 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.

Pros

Free scans: HitmanPro 3 offers unlimited free scans. If your PC is clean, you don't need a license. If malware is found, you can activate a free 30-day license to remove it or buy a full license to keep your PC protected.

Cloud scans: HitmanPro 3 automatically uploads suspicious or unknown files to its Cloud Scan to be analyzed in real time.

Effective: Our first scan took just under two minutes and found toolbars and other software that, if not dangerous, were nevertheless unwelcome and a potential nuisance. After activation, HitmanPro 3 automatically created a system restore point, deleted our choices, and finished with a log file.

Cons

Best option: While each PC's security situation is different, experts differ on whether multiple tools, like antivirus software with HitmanPro 3, outperform similarly priced all-in-one security suites, or offer better value.

Bottom Line

HitmanPro 3 (32-bit) is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls). Just relying on a single vendor is not sufficient to completely protect you. You do need a second source to make sure you are secure. HitmanPro 3 (32-bit) is designed to work alongside existing security programs without any conflicts. It scans the computer quickly (less than five minutes) and does not slow down the computer (except for the few minutes it is scanning). HitmanPro 3 (32-bit) does not need to be installed. It can be run straight from a USB flash drive, a CD/DVD, local or network attached hard drive.
