Hitman Pro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls). Just relying on a single vendor is not sufficient to completely protect you. You do need a second source to make sure you are secure. Hitman Pro is designed to work alongside existing security programs without any conflicts. It scans the computer quickly (less than 5 minutes) and does not slow down the computer (except for the few minutes it is scanning). Hitman Pro does not need to be installed. It can be run straight from a USB flash drive, a CD/DVD, local or network attached hard drive.
What's new in this version: Version 3.6.0.138 fixed scan at startup performed quick scan when setting was set on default scan.

"Gets rid of viruses no other programs can"

Summary
For the past six months I have been infected with a virus that attempts to download malware from websites. Symantec was usually able to stop the virus from successfully downloading, but finally the other day it was able to download what I think was the Tidserv Google redirect rootkit, a nasty piece of work.
Not only did Hitman Pro 3 find this Google redirect virus on my computer in 15 minutes and eliminate it (when I had been scanning with Symantec and Avira and Malwarebytes with no success for hours) but it also found the original download virus - which I have spent literal days scanning for with *no success* - and remove it as well.
My computer is finally virus free after half a year! Even though I was able to fix things with the free 30 day trial, I'm so impressed with this software that I'm going to buy the full version so I can support the company. Great product!
Note: In order to get the software registered, I had to add the Hitman Pro .exe file as an exception to my firewall. -

Pros
Scans fast. Detects trojans that Malwarebytes and Avira missed. Runs off of a usb key - no installation required. 30 day free trial works without limitations.
Cons
Wish it was free past 30 days.
Summary
I almost didn't download it because of a previous review that said that its 30 day free trial was a scam - this wasn't true. It works great and without limitations for 30 days. It uploads suspicious files to the cloud for scanning (which you can disable before the scan), but it gives you the option to cancel individual uploads. I'm glad I chose the upload option, because it found 2 viruses that way.
It scans much faster than a regular virus scanner - minutes rather than hours.
Running it from a usb key is a major bonus.
Over all, it is a good suppliment to the free virus scanners I'm currently using. -

Cons
Doesn't work unless you buy it, like so many others that says you have problems, and if you buy the program, it will remove them, just a bunch of crap. If it's free for 30 days let it do it's full job for 30 days, then if I like it better than any other program I have, I'll buy it.
Summary
Don't promise me 30 days free trial, and then try and charge me to make it work. What happened to the 30 days free trial?
