Version: Hiband 1.0
Pros: I decided to download the 196MB Microsoft Expressions BETA software. My computer said it would take 12 hours. After 2 hours of download speeds averaging about 10kbs, I remembered I have HiBand. I opened Hiband and clicked the optimize button. HiBand made me restart the computer (annoying I thought) and start the download all over again. Well, this time, I was able to download the 196MB file in just 7 minutes! I installed HiBand a few weeks ago and thought it was just another bandwidth monitoring tool. I'm really glad I discovered the optimize feature.
Cons: Maybe I'm just so blown away by the speed optimization that I can't think of any cons.

"Good, but lacks sufficient documentation"
Pros: Realtime bandwidth usage including max upload and download rate. Easy to download, install, and run. A bunch of utilities (ping, traceroute, netstat, etc.) also included.
Cons: Seems built for someone very familiar with network monitoring. Had to search the install directory to find a "manual", which gives a cursory overview of every window. Didn't try "Internet Booster" because I'd like to know every setting that is changed
