Pros
Relatively easy to use and intuitive. No need to read a manual or consult a help file. Absolutely free to use and looks like it hasn't installed any garbage (although one can never tell for sure). Installation on Vista was a piece of cake.

None - so far so good.

I have never seen such a brilliant video compressor. My 3.90GB gameplays are now only 200MB. Thank you soooo much to the makers of this program and now I can store 20x more gameplay videos on my external HDD. WELL DONE :)

Summary
I simply cannot get it to work on my windows 7 pc. I tried what the last reviewer wrote with VLC and administrator. I tried title specific conversion. It always stops the conversion prematurely and then gives a scrambled video. Maybe the next update will help. Anyone know of a similar program that works for windows 7? I want to copy my DVDs to a mp4 version for itunes/ipad viewing.

Summary
Before installing Handbrake, I installed VLC media player first. I installed both by right-clicking the executable and choosing "Run as administrator" (second item in the list). Every time I launch Handbrake, I right-click the icon in the Start Menu and choose "Run as administrator." Haven't had any issues.

Pros
Quick conversion rate, video and sound stay in sync and can do batch conversions. Output quality is good. I find the output from Handbrake superior to other converters and formats that can be viewed on the Roku.
Cons
Have to select files one-by-one to create batch for converting. While playback sound stays synced with video (unlike video files converted to wmv format), volume can jump up and/or down unexpectedly. Occasional picture glitches/distortion.
Summary
I tried Handbrake as it was recommended by the roConnect site. I'd been having issues with video files I'd converted to wmv (the other format Roku supports) where the sound would be out of sync with the video. This problem disappeared with Handbrake. The conversion rate is much quicker than other converts I'd used, although it does max out my quad core processors.
All in all, very convenient, easy to use converter if you're using various devices to view the output. Definately keeping this as a part of my video management/manipulation toolbox. -
