This is a bit more than an editor. It comes with some useful tools as part of the program. I found the Disassembler nice. Seeing things in Assembly with the commands, flags, and hex is just a nice touch. Would be nice to be able to edit the assembly
There are other simple tools included also.
It's not a 'finished' piece of software.
ie. With a dll loaded in the disassember I accidently clicked disassemble and it will go into an endless loop or better, crash. There is a lack of error catching within causing crashes as that.
Some mistakes shouldn't be made but they can and do happen.
What this suite attempts to do is great. But it's a work in progress. But what this editor contains should be present in all such apps. Sure, you can make changes to exe's in most hex editors, but this has additions that one can learn from.
The ideas of this app rates at 5+ stars, but as a work in progress we demote to 4 stars.
Many, many options. IMHO too many unless you really want that high level of functionality.
Opened a .exe file (under Win XP) and only half of it displayed. Also, it didn't display the hex correctly, and searching always gave no results, despite the fact that I know the search was right. Not impressed. Uninstalled soon after installing.
Major Bug, Don't open two files with the same filename. The second one may be deleted when you exit. Also as you switch views between the two files, the title bar changes but the hex code from the second file is always displayed.
