Remember the incredible Disney film Tron? If so, you'll certainly enjoy this arcade spin-off. glTron is an open source, 3D Tron-style game. The object is simple: each player must drive his or her 'light cycle' along a computer-generated grid and dodge the other racers. To make things interesting, however, each cycle generates a deadly wall of light that blocks off the other cycles--so don't cross your opponent's path! glTron features retro 3D graphics, fast-paced gameplay, great music, and an easy-to-use interface. Play against three friends at the same computer using the A and S keys for player one, the K and L keys for player two, the 5 and 6 keys for player three, and the left and right arrow keys for player four. Press F3 for four-player view mode and get moving. Press F10 to change the Camera Mode - there are three different camera modes.

Pros
Simple 3D Tron-style Light-Cycle. Crisp basic colours and sounds, good fun, but...
Cons
Gameplay is lacking, specially compared to Armagetron Advanced (which is also freeware). No change of speed, limited views might not be to everyone's liking.

Hard to download, needed to navigate all the way to the site to find it. Anyway, I tested it out and it's quite an average game. Not addictive for me, but it can be nice for others.

this game is good the best looks like the real game in the movie not the music but is ok, it has a lot of options and ypu can play up to 4 players at the same time. kidk love it, and I like it too just like the movie in the old times get it if you can there is no spyware no adware and no virus in this version thanks to the developers this is a game that I enjoy a lot with my kids get it.

Summary
I love tron, and lightcycles, and this is just awesome. I wasn' t born in the tron era but still enjoy it. Even my brothers like it. Its a for sure win even if you aren't a fan of Tron. The music is tacky but you can turn it off.

Summary
The game was great I have not had a problem playing it and I have not stopped playing it since I love puzzle games. The game is a perfect recreation off of the movie and there are different art packs that one can download to enhance their playing experience. As for playing there is no problem, I click on the icon and in 3 seconds it starts up and then hit enter two times at the title screen and in seconds I am in the game. I recommend this game to any one who loves puzzles, the game snake (for the cell phone), and tron.
