  I have Ghostery for Mozilla Firefox with no issue, but with IE8 it is loaded with Malware!

  Brought my Win7 IE10 to a standstill while surfing many sites with Search Suggestions (i.e. IMDB movie reviews/Amazon...). After Disabling it, I forgot about it, but started having browser freeze-ups!? I ran clean AV scans with KIS/Emsisoft Kit, but MBAM found 10 malware that were All related to Ghostery IE (Not Removed ATT)! Uninstalled old Revo Uninstaller free, and installed latest free version- Did an Advanced uninstall, and removed every trace of Ghostery/reboot. Did another MBAM scan, and malware was Gone! :o)

  Summary

  Ghostery add-on works Good in FireFox, and no slow-downs like DNT+!

  I had the horrible experience of trying to access my Netflix landing page, but because of Ghostery, it prevented my IE9 (on my Windows 7 laptop) from accessing my Netflix after I logged in. I disabled Ghostery from the Manage Add-Ons, but to no avail that disabling Ghostery work. I uninstalled Ghostery from the Uninstall Programs in Control Panel, in which, it did a partial unistall by removing the name from the Programs list, however, the Add-On was still listed in IE9. I did a complete reset of IE9, and rebooted, however, it was still in the Manage Add-ons. Finally, I would spend the next hour manually uninstalling the Ghostery program by removing the many keys of it in the Windows Registry, and booting into Safe Mode as Administrator to remove remaining files. Happily, all is well, and my laptop (System and IE9) is functional well, and I am able to access my Netflix page after login.

  DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS CRAPWARE, BECAUSE ALONG WITH MY EXPERIENCE, I ENCOUNTERED READING ABOUT MANY OTHERS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES OF TRYING UNINSTALL GHOSTERY AND PAGE BLOCKS ON CERTAIN WEBSITES. GO TO GHOSTERY'S SUPPORT LINK AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT OTHERS ARE HAVING SIMILAR NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM, UNTIL THEY DEBUGGED THIS PROGRAM COMPLETELY.

  the person above obviously doesn't understand how this program works. There is no icon to click on. It works automatically when u start up your web browser. In the upper right hand corner you can see all the trackers being blocked.

  None, this product it crap!

  I downloaded this Ghostery and had to uninstall it. Once you download it there is no icon anywhere to get to a console. No desktop icon and none in hidden icons folder or anywhere. This program is useless. Also downloaded Do Not Track Plus and it has no icons also. Just a waste ot time. I will be looking for a good anti-tracking program that works. You can download these two programs if you plan on wasting a couple hours for nothing. Have fun.

  Summary

  Don't know why they allow people to put out these programs that don't give you any icons or anything with settings in it or some console. This is the first time I ever downloaded anything where I couldn't find it anywhere except my control panel to delete it in my life. Glad I was even able to delete it. Sheeeech.
