Performing a complete backup of Outlook data and its settings can perplex an inexperienced user and take a long time. Genie Outlook Backup quickly backs up and restores Outlook data, including mail folders, account settings, signatures, and custom forms. It also safeguards your Windows Favorites, Internet Explorer settings, and any files of your choice. The program's interface is not as clear as it could be, at least for a beginner, yet Genie Outlook Backup generates easy-to-read log files. You can store your data on an FTP server or CD/DVD. The program lets you compress, encrypt, and password-protect saved data. Scheduling options let you perform backups at every system start or at regular intervals. Multilingual users should note that the program failed to read IE favorites whose names contained Spanish characters. This program has a relatively high price for running a specialized task. Users who rely heavily on Outlook may benefit, but others may want a more general backup tool.
