CNET Editors' review
Jot down notes and keep them organized on your desktop, keeping your other desk top a bit less cluttered. Freebie Notes provides a simple alternative to the paper sticky note.
This freeware is incredibly simple to use. By choosing a new note from the toolbar, users write themselves a quick note and place it on the desktop. This no-frills note system is perfect for jotting down ideas, phone numbers, or other brief info. Freebie Notes also provides several helpful options to go along with its primary function. A wide spectrum of colors ensures that you don't have a desktop covered in neon yellow notes, but can color code to your preference. In addition, the fonts and type size are adjustable. However, the best feature of Freebie Notes is its ability to remind the user with simple alarms that cause a note to pop to the foreground daily, a day from now, a month from now, or even a year from now.
The only downside to Freebie Notes is that it teases users with options only available in other programs you'll need to pay for. If, for example, you wanted a URL to open when the note's alarm sounded, you would be advised to purchase another of the publisher's notes programs. However, if you are looking for a simple reminder system, this is the perfect download to keep track of those little bits of information you need to keep onhand.

Version: Freebie Notes 3.33
Pros
Very accessible, and can be a handy , never get lost tool.

Sometimes minimising prompts a message if the Freebie note needs to be deleted. haven't figured out why and when.
Summary
Wonder if further applications of the product can be suggested, as this product holds huge potential.

"Great notepad which is accessible offline and online !"
Version: Freebie Notes 3.29
Pros
New features awaited very eagerly. Use it to copy paste paragraphs which can be read when offline. Excellent.
Cons
More apps need to be developed. Secondly there should be a provision to "fly" the notes from one computer to another.

"Easy, helpful"
Version: Freebie Notes 3.26
Pros
Ease of use, helpful tool for those quick little reminders you don't want to create an Outlook calendar or task list item for. Easy to edit, size, reposition/organize the notes on your desktop.
Cons
It's such a basic utility that there's not much to complain about. Create the note; delete it when done. What could be simpler?
Summary
The paid version probably has some neat bells and whistles, but I use this instead of paper sticky notes, and the freebie version does a GREAT job of that. Glad I happened upon it.

"does what physical sticky notes are supposed to do"
Version: Freebie Notes 3.26
Pros
easy to use; non intrusive ; simple tool
Cons
wish it had capability to preprogram "advance notification" capability which now is only available in paid upgraded PowerNotes
Summary
said it all above but ease of use, basic simple and useful without "baggage" that make some of these types of products excessively complicated . Non-intrusive is another good adjective but pre-programming or advance notification of an event would be a basic feature I would like to see without having to go to PowerNotes to obtain this feature and then with alot of added baggage.
