There are a lot of video file converters out there, and most of them are quite similar, letting users convert videos between different file formats. Unfortunately, the only thing that sets Free Convert MP4 to AVI FLV MPEG WMV MOV Converter apart from the competition is that it doesn't work very well.
We had high hopes when we first opened the program. The interface is clean and intuitive, with large graphical buttons. We were excited to see that the program also includes a YouTube downloader, and we decided to try that first. We were disappointed to find that no matter which video's URL we entered, the program came back with an error message stating that there was no video on the page. Next we decided to try some MP4 conversions. The program was OK at converting to some formats, like AVI and FLV; however, when we tried to convert our file to a WMV, the end of the video was cut off. The program's online Help file answers some basic questions but isn't particularly helpful; it didn't address either of our problems. Overall, we were not impressed with this program; it didn't offer anything in the way of features that we hadn't seen many times before, and even these basic features failed to work consistently.
Free Convert MP4 to AVI FLV MPEG WMV MOV Converter is free. The program installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal. We do not recommend this program; there are many better alternatives available.
