"Causes Right Click Crash in Win 7"

I only use it in Windows XP, where it performs flawlessly.
If I install it in Windows 7, right clicking any folder causes Explorer to crash every time, even if FF is not running. Uninstalling FF fixes this problem.Summary
I wish I could use it in Windows 7, but it adds instability. I imagine that the context menu handler needs to be rewritten.

Fantabulous! Can also be used to keep files in the same format but it then repairs the file. I have repaired heaps of stuff with this function which had been in my "Corrupted" folder waiting for flawless help for a long time. Also repairs as it converts so you don't have to repair and then convert in a separate process. Don't fail to "Install inside Codex". Core programme comes with a file called "mencoder.exe" which is a bright young fellow that makes conversion very, very fast. But it will use as much of your CPU as it can get. So click "Turn off computer when complete" and set up do large lots of files to be done at one time when you go off to bed.
Cons
I can't find anyplace to download it where the installation package does not include a lot of unwanted kids stuff. Installation is therefore tedious as one has to constantly be careful what one is clicking for installation. Basically say "No" to everything offered and then the core programme is installed without the kids stuff. But the one option you need to include is "Install inside Codex". It can do most things without it but not all.
Summary
Give it a try. You'll be GLAD to have it. But watch what you are doing during installation and make sure you say "no" to all the kids stuff they package with it. DO "Install inside Codex".

On a longer DVD movie (2+ hrs), it didn't convert whole movie.
Audio track out of sync when ripping to MP4 format.Summary
Pretty good considering the price is right. However if you need to rip a longer DVD, you'll have to reduce the quality/space option, or try a different format, so it will finish the whole movie. Haven't used for coverting yet, so no comment on that aspect.

Been using FormatFactory for over 2 years now, and I honestly still can not believe, that a software program this versatile, and powerful, is COMPLETELY FREE!!! Why pay upwards of $50 for video conversion software, when FF can do all you need and more for free?! The intuitive user interface, and minimal conversion/editing options make FF super simple, not to mention quick to use. Just pick your output file type, load your files, breeze through the conversion settings (thanks to the predefined quality profiles), then just click "Start". FormatFactory is hands down the BEST Video Conversion software out there! I have, and will continue to recommend it to everyone I know. :D
