Flock is designed to streamline and emphasize how you interface with social networking sites, RSS and media feeds, and blogs. Because it's built on Firefox 3, its behavior will feel familiar and it supports most--but not all--Firefox extensions. And yes, the "awesome bar" is part of the latest version.

Flock's social network savvy sidebar is the reason to get this browser. Buttons at the top of the collapsible sidebar make accessing any of your social networking or frequently used Web sites easier than Twittering what you had for breakfast. Feature-focused, each button either helps you get your message out faster, like dragging and dropping photos into Flickr, or helps you read your friends' messages quicker, like the integrated RSS reader. The People button turns the sidebar into a nifty way to track all your social networking accounts. Your avatar is displayed on the left, while the right contains links for new messages and new comments. The bottom holds the links to upload new media when applicable and a hot link to open or close your media stream.

There are also hot links to most major blogging sites, and if you choose to configure it for your own self-published blog, Flock guides you through the process. New users will likely find it overwhelming at first, but it really does give you a more comprehensive and real-time view into your social network than you can get otherwise.

  "Where is the Google toolbar?"

  Pros: Had nice interface, was fast, easy to use, had many useful features.

  Cons: Could not download the Google toolbar, and I only use Google for my search engine.

  Summary: Figure out a way to solve the Google problem, and I will gladly download it again.

  "the best browsers ever designed for the modern person"

  Pros: it's social browsing allows u to keep up with your blogs,Facebook apps,MySpace,twitter and others without having to be switching.
  the YouTube and other photo and other media apps are good also

  Cons: needs more skins and themes to spice it up

  Summary: overall a perfect browser for a social browser and i would recommend it to everyone

  "Everything I could ever ask for in a browser"

  Pros: Flock has all your browsing needs without having to install any further extensions & the extensions I used for Firefox also works with flock, The built in RSS reader is something I have been looking for a long time plus it handles accounts very well

  Cons: None what so ever

  Summary: If you need a browser that is feature packed & you have a lot of accounts like Youtube, Myspace & Facebook then this is the browser you may be looking for plus all your FF extensions will work with flock.

  "Flock 2.5 - The Social Browser with High Security."

  Pros: 1.) Highest Security (Gecko/2009051221).
  2.) Based on latest version of Firefox 3.0.10
  3.) The majority of Firefox' Extensions work with Flock.
  4.) Much Faster Browsing than Firefox or IE8.
  5.) Sidebar with many social options: Twitter, Facebook etc.

  Cons: 1.) The Forum (Get Satisfaction) of Flock is not so well organized.
  2.) A few Firefox' Extensions are not working in Flock.
  3.) For the moment Flock has only one default theme.
  4.) Flock has not so fast browsing as Opera or Google Chrome have.

  Summary: If you have become bored with both IE & Firefox and looking for a fairly fast browser with the utmost social features and still maintaining security, give Flock a try!

  "Improved. But Im keeping 2.0.3 because..."

  Pros: Fast, Sleek, firefox 3 engine
  
  Twitter fix

  Cons: No themes.

  Summary: I am a big fan of Flock. I recommend it to anyone who wants firefox but dislikes firefox browser.
