My ratingWrite review
using the windows xp compatibility wizard, it worked.
it's a win95 game. enough said.
the demo doesn't give you access to options. can't save in demo mode. when installing it, registration asks you if you want to fax or use your modem to register the game. fax? modem? it's an old outdated mundane win95 game who's time had come and gone. there are better ways to invest your time. i would rather study than play this game. the only good thing about it is that it does work in win xp, using the compatibility wizard.
Story, battle style, dialogues, black humour.
In general pure classic RPG not mixed with shooter or anything. Be sure to try this demo at least.
Nothing. Fallout >> Fallout 3 ;)
Just try it you will not regret it. ;) Except if you are 3D shooter maniac or too scary that you will want to buy it after try like mad.
It's a self contained adventure in the Fallout world, separate from the full game! It has three endings, one new weapon and new NPC's.To get it working in XP, by the way, choose Win95 and 640x480 compatibility.
No cons whatsoever
This is another little bit of the Fallout world. It's not form fallout 1, 2 or 3, it's a separate look-in on this fantastic post-apocalyptic world that Interplay created for us to play in!
good gameplay, unique and fun.
Old game, bad graphics and sound.
Open ended gameplay, interesting & deep character development system. Strong atmosphere. Excellent combat system.
No multiplayer. The game is also pretty old so the graphics are a bit dated, though it holds up better than most games would.
***THE DEMO DOES WORK IN WINDOWS XP!!!***
However you must run it in compatibility mode. To do this, right-click on the file FALLDEMO.EXE and then choose the compatibility tab. Check the box to run the program in compatibility mode for Windows 95, then click OK.
BTW, in my opinion, this is one of the best games ever made. Highly recommended RPG!
Everything is perfect !!!
I didnt see any cons for this game...
None..Doesnt install keep getting the message about "Priveleged error". It made me sit in a black screen for 5 min before I manually had to look on my desktop to see the error. Very horrible

that's because it's a win95 game, and you're using xp. you can tell xp that you're using a win95 application: see
Getting older programs to run on Windows XP
The Program Compatibility Wizard
my experience has been that it isn't worth going through all these changes. others may disagree. but the error is with cnet. it needs state explicitly that this is a win95 application.
I get the following error when I try to run this game in Windows XP Pro:
An privileged instruction was executed at address 0046bfd5
Click on OK to terminate the application
Any help would be appreciated as I loved this game when I played it a long time ago.
theres no way its better then KOTAR..and classics? want to go classic ill take EQ even though its a MMO its around the same time
It is 1 of the best RPGs ever
