This free Internet Explorer toolbar improves searching for and downloading torrents. ExtraTorrent Toolbar installs cleanly without adding pop-up blockers, e-mail checkers, and other unneeded functions. Three simple pull-down menus and a search box are the only elements you'll find.
Operating ExtraTorrent Toolbar is easy; enter your search term, pick a category or choose All, then press search. If that isn't simple enough, the pull-down menus display the latest or most popular torrents in the same 10 categories. Merely scroll down the menu to choose torrents from movies, music, software, iPod, games, anime, TV, books, pictures, or other. Since this is a free service, every download is delayed a few seconds while you're presented with a banner ad. The toolbar defaults to extratorrent.com to display all search results and torrent downloads.
Of course, you'll need a torrent app to use the torrents you download, but this app excels in finding them. Easy install, simple operation, up-to-date torrents; this toolbar makes sense for any IE fan looking for a good torrent-search tool.
