Version: Express Scribe 5.00
"Does not work with Windows 7."
Pros: It has purty buttons.
Cons: Sloppy programming, buggy software.
Summary: Another sloppy release by NCH. Does not work in Windows 7. When you hit rewind, it FAST FORWARDS. No fix at the present time.

Version: Express Scribe 5.00
"Love it! Easy and free, what more could you want!"
Pros: I use this for Medical Transcription. If you need software to run a wavpedal , this is the one. Very easy. once you tweak the settings to your liking, it runs like a charm. I havent had any problems.
Cons: Hmm, my needs are pretty simple, just using it to run my wavped, so ....no cons for this product. Thanks for the great program.

"great free software for transcribing mpeg and wav files"
Pros: Works great with the Classy foot pedal (cheapest I could find) and has slow down and speed up controls. It saves your file to where you left off so you don't have to take time to search for the right spot
Cons: takes a little tweaking of the controls to slow down and speed up the file, but once you learn it, it's fairly easy to work

Summary: Don't get this, you're better off using media buttons to play/pause with Windows Media player...

"USELESS - Don't even bother to try it - WASTE OF TIME"
Pros: NONE AT ALL
Cons: I wanted to convert speech dictations into Word. 1.- It won't ask for the folder where you want to install it. 2.- It doesn't work AT ALL (just plays the sound file, there are NO OPTIONS to convert to text) 3.- Want to unistall?: GOOD LUCK IN TRYING!
Summary: I installated it to convert my speech dictations into Word. First of all, the program doesn't even ask me the folder where I wanted to install it, then it doesn't work AT ALL for my purpose (it just plays the sound file and there are absolutely NO O... read more >>
