Express Invoice is a tool for creating invoices and managing bills for small businesses. Its simple layout and helpful options make it a great program for keeping an eye on finances.
We found the program to be instantly inviting, with its functions clearly labeled and helpful onscreen instructions popping up along the way to express what data needed to be placed where. We were able to quickly populate a customer database with all billing information, build our warehouse of sale items from scratch, and apply both of these aspects toward creating an invoice. We were pleased with the professional and highly readable look of our invoices. They were perfect for printing and including with a sale. The program also offered simple tools for creating quotes and order forms, which have the same basic appearance as the invoice. Express Invoice also provided an extensive report-running feature. Here we could look at outstanding payments, current inventory, and much more.
Express Invoice is a freeware program. It comes as a compressed file, installs desktop icons without permission, and leaves behind folders after uninstall. We loved the program's simplicity and recommend it.

Pros: Good software if you are stuck with Windows.
Cons: No support for non Windows clients.
Summary: If they include more platforms, this would change my rating to 4.5. Not all users wish to suffer the problems of using Windows. Other providers allow this option as open source has gained great favor in the business community.

"Fantastically easy to setup, clean and user friendly"
Pros: The whole process is easy and a joy to use. Well thought out and impressive
Cons: The constant links to the main site are annoying but a very small price to pay under the circumstances.

"This is for ver. 2.14, have not went to 2.20 yet"
Pros: In Windows 7 I was easily able to restore from a backup drive with no problems, program works great for invoicing, quotes...
Cons: In windows Vista I had no problem backing up - but did experience problems with restoring.
Summary: Absolutely A+ in everyway without all that stock market clutter (like Quicken) that only slows everything down & take to many system resources.

Pros: VERY easy to use, professional, flexible, does pretty much everything we need and cannot believe it's FREE. Spent loads on software that doesn't come anywhere near to this. Top marks.
Cons: Would be useful to be able to have more control of layout - making some columns wider / being able to put our details where we want them on the invoice etc. Benefits far outweigh these niggles though.

"For a Free Program..I was highly impressed!!!!"
Pros: It helps me make up my invoices with one or 2 clicks.
Cons: As a Novice at this...I felt having to go to add/insert items first was a little confusing. I would like to see less steps once the initial invoice is prepared. Being able to add to the open invoice would be nice .
