Created to help manage and schedule events and vacations for your company's employees, Employee Planner falls short due to unimpressive performance and a disappointing interface. Despite the program's detailed help files, it took us a bit of poking around to even figure out how the software works. It seems pointless that the calendar in the app's right pane goes back for many years since you can't plan events in the past. Also, when scheduling holidays, it's impossible to split them into separate months, as the calendar shows only one month at a time. Furthermore, we were miffed to learn you can't enter any extra information beyond an employee's name. Altogether, Employee Planner is a mediocre application that will be too complex for many users.

Version 1.38c is able to remember the last folder you used to open/save your file when you click open file again, allow setting either to open last used file or do not open any file when starting Employee Planner.
