Although not at the top of its class, this free CD-label creator gets the job done. Upon launch, the attractive, tabbed interface offers you several templates for creating CD labels, jewel cases, and DVD booklets. After selecting your design, you can add any images you'd like, though the program's library of included backgrounds and pictures is extremely small. If your selected graphic doesn't fit exactly, you can simply drag it around until it reaches the desired size. When adding text, you must reposition each line by moving a small box around, as the included templates don't have predesigned entries for adding track or artist information. Also, though you can change font size and style, it's curious that you can't bold or italicize any text. Still, EZ Label Xpress Lite is totally free and doesn't disable the printing function as many competitors do, making it a quality pick for those who need to create very basic CD and DVD labels.
All templates are pre-defined, you just need to select a template with the background and picture you want, add the text you need to mark on the CD or DVD, then print the label, it suitable for Avery's CD/DVD label paper.
Cons
I haven't cons.

Summary
I got what I paid for -- about $10 worth of junk software. Either that, or I don't have the proper driver, but where is the manufacturer's website? Can't find it. I did manage to use it, but it was a struggle and very frustrating.
Simple to use
Enders03
Pros
It does what it is intended to do. It took me less than five minutes to figure this program out. VERY easy to use and I explained it in the summary.
Cons
It is very limited on what you can do but it does the job. Read summary for directions on how to use this program.
Summary
If you want to jazz it up with your own background image all you have to do is click the "Background" tab. You will see a file tab next to the word Gallery, click it. It will then open a file for you to select any photo you have on your PC. Now, if you want something other than a photo, I suggest you make one or have someone make one for you. I personally use Pain.NET which is a free program that creates images and works just as good as any other.
Basically, create your own image for the background and open it via the "Background" tab. All of these complaints about personalization can be solved by creating your own image for the disk. This program just allows you to use the template and attach the already created images from your PC as a label.
Step one: Open Program
Step Two: Select Template
Step Three: Choose a background. This can be any image on your PC. Click the 'Background' tab and then click the 'File' button. Find the image on your PC and click 'Open'
Step Four: Image tab is essentially the same as the Background tab.
Step Five: Add Text if you need to. Simply click the Text button and drag it to whatever location you prefer. The Format button will allow you to change the font style, size and whatever.
Step Six: PRINTING! You see blue circles in the print preview screen to the right. Click the blue circles to unlock them and you will be able to see the outline of the CD/DVD. If it looks good, PRINT!
On top of this crappy product, my username is changed!

Pros
Did a project for my brother and he loved it. A quote from an email from him, "Was really impressed with how they turned out. You did a really nice job on them. Thanks again
Once I got the hang of it, the five CDs and two DVDs were a snap to do. Even incorporated one of my pictures as a back ground. Was/is fun to use.
Cons
Choices are a little limited for back ground, titleing and listing of songs, but, for free, you can not beat it.
Summary
Beautiful results, professionally looking, and fun to use. At this point I see no reason to purchase a "complicated" program when this more than meets my needs. Now, I'm looking for reasons to play with it more.
Free version is not very good.
Rucca
Pros
Don't know
Cons
Does not do light scribe or allow you to import your own photos for labels
Summary
Seems as though they don't want to give you much so that you will need to buy their upgraded version.

Pros
I suppose it would work for some people who don't need very much.
Cons
I needed it to print a full-bleed label and couldn't. If it can do this, I couldn't figure out how to do it. As such, it was a waste of my time.

Pros
Seemed nice at first. Seemed user friendly at first. But then...
Cons
Automatically defaulted to Bold type face no matter what I did. Extremely frustrating. Did not have the time to waste on this useless software.

Removed the program after an hour. Don't bother messing with it.
