Although not at the top of its class, this free CD-label creator gets the job done. Upon launch, the attractive, tabbed interface offers you several templates for creating CD labels, jewel cases, and DVD booklets. After selecting your design, you can add any images you'd like, though the program's library of included backgrounds and pictures is extremely small. If your selected graphic doesn't fit exactly, you can simply drag it around until it reaches the desired size. When adding text, you must reposition each line by moving a small box around, as the included templates don't have predesigned entries for adding track or artist information. Also, though you can change font size and style, it's curious that you can't bold or italicize any text. Still, EZ Label Xpress Lite is totally free and doesn't disable the printing function as many competitors do, making it a quality pick for those who need to create very basic CD and DVD labels.Publisher's description

Cons: It doesn't let you calibrate your printer plus you can't select what brand of labels your using!

"Excellent, easy to use, and free - what more can you ask?"
Pros: As a software developer, I'm always interested in other developers' work - especially when it is distributed free of charge. This application rocks! Basic labeling was the driving force behind my downloading it - quick and clean, nothing fancy - and it met my requirements very nicely. (And did I mention that it's free?)

"Great Lables, unbeatable price!"
Pros: This software rocks. I used it to replace Stomp's Click&Design which wouldn't function properly enough to get a lable printed. This software imports saved BMP or JPG files and fits them on the disc template easily. The text function is extremely flexible with plenty of fonts some of which you CAN bold or italicize or both. Slight learning curve but I've gotten impressive results with my lables on this wonderful FREE! software. Images can be fitted and mixed & matched allowing for some creativity and actually inspires it!
Cons: Limited number of colors for text but not to the point of limiting impressive results in 99% of the cases.

Pros: Ok, it took a minute or two of playing around, but the program works and works well.
It helps to have your own images. Simple to use once you get a handle on the tabs. I print to the Memorex labels with no problem.
