  Old free version was limited but usefull.

  Completely $%#@ useless. Whats the point of finding duplicates if you can't delete them? I went back to old version.

  I gave one star because it is very good at finding duplicate files.

  Cons

  You can only view the duplicates in the FREE version. You cannot delete any files. So, it wastes your time trying the free version and seeing all the duplicates because you cannot do anything about it in the program. Disappointing. This is new with the newest version. Before it would let you use limited features.

  I loved this tool. I was able to get rid of so much wasted space, that I don't need to go buy a new hard drive. My music collection is also tidy and near. I just love this software and recommend it to any of you out there.

  the Free version seems like it has the potential to be pretty cool, it is fast and accurate for what it actually accomplishes.

  This free version is hardly worth messing with though. As far as I can tell you're left on your own to try and figure out whether the 'PRO' version attributes would be worth purchasing. No chance, that I could readily see, to even give them a test drive. If they think having a 'Not available on Free Edition' popup is all that fetching, they're wrong. Who can guess how good any of these features are if you can't try them? Not me.

  Summary

  I don't know if I'd waste much time with this, , I do know that they'd have a far better chance of getting me to buy it IF they had allowed me to TRY it.

  Fast Easy find duplicate files Easy select best to delete (older directories) Simple installation, No ad/malware observed

  Some Advanced options at a premium, but likely you will not need

  I had multiple "backups" from smartphones on the PC, done at different times, resulting in nested directories with 30.000 photos and 32GB total space. In the end reduced to 8GB. The most useful feature is the autoselection of which directory to delete from, and it choses the oldest one (i.e. the one with likely less files)

  I have recently used a program called Duplicate Files Deleter & i am so happy with the results that this particular program does. I have more than 50 GB of duplicate files in my computer and i was going crazy with the hard disk space that was being consumed and thanks to the "Duplicate Files Deleter" where i don't need to search each & every file to delete. Duplicate Files Deleter did the job for me within a very short period of time. So no need to google each problem to remove duplicate & unwanted files, just grab the program called Duplicate Files Deleter.
