    Version: Directory Analyzer 1

"slow on loading, but very fast once loaded"

    by jon_joy_1999 on May 6, 2006

Pros: once the program has loaded, scanning of my root folders went reasonably quick.

the pie graph of directory scanned was concise, and there were comments detailing the folder/file name, size, and percentage of total directory size for each slice of the pie. below that was a list detailing all of the sub-directories and files, along with their respective sizes

Cons: when DA loads, it scans the A:\ drive looking for a disk, regardless of Windows' reporting of there being a disk in there or not.

when there are too many files/directories in the pie graph the comments overlap and all except the topmost can become unreadable.

DA doesn't use Windows' interface scheme, whatever it may be, and responds horribly to Windows XP's transparency ability.

finally, when you scan a directory, the directory's path gets copied to the windows clipboard automatically, regardless of there being something already in the clipboard or not, and when the program is unloaded, the clipboard's contents isn't restored
