Despite a rather limited scope, this application makes splitting audio files an intuitive process. True to its word, Direct WAV MP3 Splitter can dice WAVs or MP3s into any number of segments, though it only can save the files in the latter format. The program's main window is intuitive enough to use, though it's no beauty. To ensure you chop your tracks at the correct moments, the utility lets you play the song before selecting start and end points via a couple of quick mouse clicks. The program can easily cut off any number of fragments you need. It also can chop files into a certain number of equal parts or cut tracks by time and size. Folks who need to digitize their LPs and cassettes will appreciate the feature that automatically detects pauses between tracks. Direct WAV MP3 Splitter now comes with a 30-day demo, making it that much more attractive to anyone who routinely needs to split audio files.Publisher's description
