  Tried on my Windows XP, I guess there is some codec issue? Just took the video off my Sony video cam, mpg format, copy it into the computer, trying to convert it into avi file and then split in for youtube, but can never convert this file

  Summary

  When attempting to join several wmv files, I specified a specific output resolution which was identical to the original one of the files. However, the file that was produced was in the wrong AR and nowhere close to what I had specified. The quality was terrible! Although it did join the files properly, it totally ignored all the output instructions.

  CONVERTING PROCESS ARE VERY VERY VERY SLOW!!! IT NEEDS TO CONVERT TO THE FILES WE WANT IN THE SAME DURATION AS THE WHOLE MOVIE!!! FOR EXAMPLE:THE MOVIE DURATION IS 2 HOURS, THAN THE CONVERTING PROCESS WILL ALSO TAKING FOR 2 HOURS!!!

  This is supposed to be able to convert files to MPEG4 format, but there is no option to do so. The MPEG version only goes up to MPEG2. This could have been good, and it may be if you don't want MPEG4 output.

  - slow at startup <p>- strange or even awkward interface (enough for not wishing to use it) <p>- doesn't seem to have heard about mp3! <p>As the sound in my files had to be encoded in mp3 I couldn't try it <p> <p>A clear uninstall!

  If you've ever wondered how you can easily convert a 640X480 10 Meg AVI into a 320 X 240 4.5 Gig AVI, this program is for you. If you ever wanted to intuitively join several AVI files together, look elsewhere. The help files that come with it don't even mention file joining, and the website doesn't even appear to acknowledge this program's existence.
