Excel is already an enormously powerful tool, but DigDB provides a handful of extra functions that can make a spreadsheet easier to use. We particularly liked the Filter, Roll up, and Sort features that allow users to do queries similar to SQL functions in an easy-to-use interface. In many cases we found these commands more convenient and powerful than Excel's own Pivot and Subtotals.Another useful feature provides the ability to split columns--extracting first and last names into separate columns, for example. In our tests the program worked smoothly and quickly, even with large tables, although the lack of a help file might give some new users pause. Overall, we see DigDB as a potentially significant help to people who work with large spreadsheets.

"It reads your mind before you can"
Pros: Great for users with very, very large databases and hetrogeneous datasets. Very easy to use. Unlike other Add-ins out there, it doesnt 'cling on' to your machine when you want to uninstall it (not that you would want to, once you get addicted to it). The Complex filters and roll-up functions are just amazing, its like doing pivot tables but within the main sheet. I have only explored 20% of it, and even then I find it worth it. Another big bonus is the prompt support from DigDb if you have even the stupidest of questions.

"Powerful data manipulation tool"
Pros: As an analyst working with large data sets, I needed expanded tools for manipulating data. DigDB offers a number of useful tools. DigDB is simple to use. A 15 day trial period gives you an opportunity to test advanced filtering, extracting, and sorting capabilities. DigDB is valuable for identifying unique records and extracting them. If you manipulate large data sets, you'll find that DigDB will save you time and effort. Additionally, the developer responded quickly and helpfully to email queries. Highly recommended.

Pros: I'm not a geek by any stretch of the imagination. But I had downloaded, installed and used DigDB to pull all the junk email addresses from my newsletter distribution list within 10 minutes. It's a huge time saver and strikes the perfect balance of ease-of-use and power.
Cons: Haven't found anything that doesn't do what I need!
